This was one rough week...
Formation flying sucked at first. I thought I’d fail my first flight this week, but I over came and check/soloed today. Today was a good day, no, it was a GREAT day. My last flight here in Las Cruces. Outta here Monday.

Not in the right time zone, but...
It’s most definitely my birthday. I’m the big 2-4! As my dad reminded me today… at this age for him I was being born… I couldn’t imagine having a kid right now.  I’m just glad to be where I am at right now even though somethings aren’t perfect. I wouldn’t have it any other way regardless.

So...
Flying with the canopy open at 170 knots is a blast! Then performing a Precautionary emergency landing to simulated engine failure and landing with the canopy still open. Freaking fun as hell! Best landing ever! Driving with a top down has got nothing on that!

Getting up at 0530... not so awesome.
Taking off at 0720 and landing at 0930, debrief, and being done with the workday by 1000… awesome!  T’was a good flight today. Yesterday’s flight, not so much. New area, new course rules, being outta the plane for a week and half wasn’t so helpful.
