Well, in New Mexico. Yet another time zone further...
There are so many mountains out here. I’m just ready to get ‘pro’ at flying the T-34 over the next few weeks. This is totally cutting off at least month from my training. Which is awesome considering I’m probably already a month behind.

Guess what that means! I’ll actually get to solo before my birthday! Perhaps even be done with contacts, aerobatics and forms by then too! Looks like I’m back on the 6 month plan again!

Another reason to hate getting phone calls...
Getting ready this morning to start prepping the brief for today’s flight. “Good morning ensign. You have a flight physical this morning.”
Wait, what?! Aren’t those supposed to be scheduled during my birth month? Oh and you were supposed to call me Friday? Well, how convenient for me that I have to run to medical now…
And I still have to make my brief a 1000...

Today was the longest day ever.
Go in at 0700 to brief at 0840 and take off at 1040 only to get put on standby until the winds died out. The METAR all day read 36028G38. Take off finally at 1430 land at 1630. Debrief until 1730…
Good news is I finally completed that flight that should’ve been done a month ago.

That flight fuckin' rocked!
Finally keeping up on radios. My departure went pretty smoothly. My landing pattern hasn’t gone to shit the bed in the last 3 weeks. Got to perform a spin/spin recovery myself. Had a blast today! Absolutely can’t wait to get back in the air for my next flight even though that’s gonna be my first graded flight.

Why 2011 was awesome and how 2012 is gonna be more...
2011: I finally started flight school after almost 5 years of being in college. I’ve met really great friends throughout flight school. Including my now girl friend.
